Child Find
Child Find is a continuous process of public awareness activities, screening, and evaluation designed to locate, identify, and refer as early as possible young children with disabilities and their families who are in need of an Early Intervention Program or Pre-School Special Education Services through the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

To receive an Early Intervention Program or Special Education, children must meet eligibility guidelines according to the IDEA. IDEA requires all states to have a "comprehensive Child Find System" to assure that all children who are in need of early intervention or special education services are located, identified, and referred.

If you believe that your child may be a child with a disability or in need of support services, please contact : Amber Kasper, Student Services Coordinator at (740) 776-6777 ext. 231.

Cold and Flu season is here! Please do everything you can to keep your kids healthy.  If they do become ill, please contact the school as soon as you know they will be absent, or right after they have been absent.  Also, if your child is not contagious (feverish) or physically ill(vomiting), please encourage them to try to "tough it out" and come to school.  It is very important to their growing education that they be here. Students are counted unexcused until the school receives notification from parents.

  • Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand rub.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth. Germs spread this way.
  • Try to avoid close contact with sick people.
  • If you are sick with flu-like illness, CDC recommends that you stay home for at least 24 hours after your fever is gone except to get medical care or for other necessities. (Your fever should be gone without the use of a fever-reducing medicine.)
  • While sick, limit contact with others as much as possible to keep from infecting them.
Parents and schools need to work together for the betterment of the students. Parents play an important role in providing support and building the confidence of their children. Parents should check some of the tips or activties they can use to develop their children’s confidence and improve their school experience.
